Esther and David Abergel were born in Morocco and lived in Rabat. They immigrated to Israel in 1950. After a long stay in a transit camp in Marseilles they were put in a Ma'abara in Pardes Hana and then moved independently to Musrara. The two had 10 children: Rachelle, Margot, Beber (RIP), Jacki (RIP), Reuven, Charlie, madelaine, Eliezer, Yaakov and Tikva. They lived on Hamishmarot street no. 5 in the neighborhood. Reuven Abergel is one of the founders of the 'Black Panthers' movement.

Reuven Abergel was born in Morocco in 1943. He arrived in Israel with his family in 1949. He grew up in Musrara and was one of the founders of the Black Panthers.
