Abergel

 

Esther and David Abergel were born in Morocco and lived in Rabat. They immigrated to Israel in 1950. After a long stay in a transit camp in Marseilles they were put in a Ma'abara in Pardes Hana and then moved independently to Musrara. The two had 10 children: Rachelle, Margot, Beber (RIP), Jacki (RIP), Reuven, Charlie, madelaine, Eliezer, Yaakov and Tikva. They lived on Hamishmarot street no. 5 in the neighborhood. Reuven Abergel is one of the founders of the 'Black Panthers' movement.
