Rachamim and Saada Dayan lived in Rabat, Morocco, with their seven children: Suzan, Maxim, Meir, Bruriah, Janet, Jackie and Kuki. In 1955 they ‘made Aliyah’ and immigrated to Israel with five of their children (Suzan and Maxim moved to Israel beforehand through Aliyat HaNoar -a Zionist organization that brought youth to Israel- and settled in different Kibbutzim). The family arrived in Jerusalem and settled in Musrara, first they lived on Ha’ayin-Het street and then moved to Daniel street. 

Avraham and Rachel, cousins from the Abu family, were born in Morroco in the town of Midelt. Avraham worked as a truck driver in the family business. They had two boys and two girls.  Avraham passed away shortly before immigrating to Israel. The family: Rachel, Avraham’s parents and Avraham’s children: Yitzhak, Eli and Simi (RIP) arrived in Israel in 1956 and  settled in Wadi Salib. The eldest daughter Mesodi arrived a year later and settled in Musrara. The whole family followed her to live in 8 Ha'ain Het st.   

Esther and David Abergel were born in Morocco and lived in Rabat. They immigrated to Israel in 1950. After a long stay in a transit camp in Marseilles they were put in a Ma'abara in Pardes Hana and then moved independently to Musrara. The two had 10 children: Rachelle, Margot, Beber (RIP), Jacki (RIP), Reuven, Charlie, madelaine, Eliezer, Yaakov and Tikva. They lived on Hamishmarot street no. 5 in the neighborhood. Reuven Abergel is one of the founders of the 'Black Panthers' movement.

David and Simha Illouz got married at the town of Colomb Béchar, Algeria. The couple later had nine children: Yiḥyah, Yaakov, Shlomo, Meir, Nathan, Perachiah, Aziza, Mazal, and Ruhamah. The family immigrated to Israel in 1949. After two weeks at the Ma'abara (immigrant absorption camp) of Pardes Hanna, the family moved to Mishmarot Street in the neighborhood of Musrara, Jerusalem.

The son Yaakov resides in this neighborhood to this day, at Ido Hanavi Street, and serves as a hazzan, (cantor) at the HaAyin Chet synagogue.

Avraham and Simcha Amoyal were born in Arfoud, Morocco. In 1948 they arrived in Israel, settled in Pardes Hanna and then moved to Musrara. The family had 11 children: Eliyahu (RIP), Sara, Pnina, Mazal, Moshe, David, Yaakov, Shimon and Shlomo (twins), Rachel and Shoshana

Masud and Masuda Buhbut got married in Morocco and their five children were born there: Meir R.I.P, Eli R.I.P, Maimon, Aliza and Georgette. In 1948 the family immigrated to Israel to a immigrant camp in Pardes Hanna. After few months they moved to the Ayin Het street in Musrara neighborhood. The children left the neighborhood after they got married except of the daughter Georgette and their grandson Moti who lived with them.

Masud was a Pancakes sfenj salesman and Masuda was known for her traditional drugs.

Eliyahu Ben Gigi grew up in Debdou, a village of Cohanim in north Morocco. Eliyahu married Esther from the Levi family of the town of Oujda in north Morocco, where their 3 childtren were born: Aliza, David and Avi. The father worked as a shoe-maker. The Ben Gigi family immigrated to Israel in 1949. After spending 3 months in the transit camp in Mareseilles they arrived in the Ma'abara in Pardes Hana. One year later they moved to the Musrara neighborhood in Jerusalem (18 Shivte Israel st). The father worked as a construction worker. In Israel they had 4 more children: Yossi, Shoshana, Yechiel and Shimon.

Avraham Ben Harush and Sara Atias were born and raised in Ksar Souk in the Tafilalet region in south east Morroco. The father was a rabbi and a Torah scribe. They married in 1935 and immigrated to Israel in 1955.

Avraham was born in 1917 in Fez, Morroco. Esther was born in 1934 in the village Talsint in the Atlas mountains in Morroco. The two were married in a transit camp in Marseilles in 1949 and were put in a Ma'abara in Pardes Hana. From there they independently moved to Musrara, in the last house on Mishmarot st on the borderline.

They had 8 children: Gavriel (RIP) Michael, Koko (Jacob), David, Meir, Mary,  Ida and Shimon(RIP)

Avraham passed away in 1991, Esther lives in Jerusalem

Jacob and Esther Tobol blessed memory, born in Morocco, where they founded there family.

The couple had eleven children, nine of whom immigrated to Israel. Maurice blessed memory, blessed memory Nissim, David, Yehuda, Miriam, Aliza, Shoshana, Yosef and Eli. the family immigrated to Israel at the end of 48, after spending two weeks in Marseilles. they reached the transit camp in Pardes Hana and then moved to Givat Shaul.

then in '49 moved the Musrara neighborhood. the family lived on the street Elisha 1 block. Jacob Tobol was a shoemaker and the one of the first oil sellers in the neighborhood .

David and Frecha Liani were born and married in the port town of Oran in Algeria. David worked as a shoe maker and Frecha was a housewife. In 1961 they arrived in Israel through Marseilles and Naples. The Liani family received a house in Givat Hamore but left it after seven hours to join their family in Musrara. They lived in grandmother’s house on Hachoma Hashlishit st and later on Hamishmarot st. They had 10 children: Yehiel, Charlie, Roger, Nicole, Celine, Jocelin and Yehudith. Later born in Israel: Dani, Yardena and Sharon.

Meir Maman, born 1911, and Frecha Monsongo, born 1915 lived in the city of Fez in Morocco. In 1935 they got married and had 6 children: Yosef, born 1939, Yonatan, born 1941, Rachel, born 1943, Haim, born 1947, Zion, born 1949 and Dina, born 1951. The family immigrated to Israel on 11.1.1956 and lived on Hulda Hanevia st. no. 9. The father, Meir, passed away about 6 months after they arrived in Israel

Eliyahu and Aliza Marziano got married and lived in the city of Berkane in Morocco, where they had 6 children. in 1949-50 they immigrated to Israel through Marseilles. Their daughters stayed in Marseilles and joined the family after 3 years. The Marziano family lived on Shivte Israel street no. 15 in Musrara. Saadia Marziano (RIP) was one of the founders of the 'Black Panthers'.

Frecha and Reuven Nidam lived in the city of Fez in Morocco. They had 10 children: Yitzhak (RIP), Rina, Yosef, Refael, Dalia, Simcha, Grazia, Michael, Miriam and Rachel. The Nidam family arrived in Israel in 1956, to Beer Sheva. Two years later they moved to the Musrara neighborhood in Jerusalem and lived on Ha'ain Het st

Raffi Saadon was born in Jerusalem in 1965, His Parents Eliyahu and Mari Migrated to Israel at 1956,

The two met in Israel. Mari migrated with her four sons from a previous  marriage: Matityahu, Sami, Reuven, and Mordechai, and gave birth to David, Rena, Raffi, Shalom (Charlie), Yoram, and Gratzia at Musrara neighborhood with her Then Husband Eliyahu.

They lived on the Mishmarot street at first and then moved to The Third Wall street at 1966. The Family left the neighborhood at 1988.

Avraham and Hana Amar were born in Casablanca, Morocco. They had two children - Shalom and Shula (Zahara). In Morocco the father worked as a shoe merchant and importer. The family immigrated to Israel in 1949, on the ship "Artza", and was placed at Pardes Hana. 

The mother worked in cleaning and the father in construction, and later on managed to renew his occupation as a merchant.

Pinchas and Simcha Zarfati got married in Mogador, Morocco. They had one daughter and 7 sons. The father worked in commerce. They immigrated to Israel through Oujda and Marseilles. After a year and a half in the Har Tov Ma'abara they moved to Jerusalem and settled in 12, Hachoma Hashlishit st. in Musrara

Revivo family

Eliyahu and Rachel were born in Morocco.They immigrated to Israel in 1955. The couple came with three daughters: Aliza RIP, Lilian and hannah. Yafa and Shimon were born in Israel .The family lived on Mishmarot Street in Musrara. 

Eliyahu first worked in flooring. Later on he opened a grocery store near Safra Square that changed location to the Mishmarot Street in front of their home. Rachel worked as a housewife.

Rochama and David Yona Shaul were married at the city of Amara in Iraq in 1944.
Their children, Shabtai, Aliza and Zamira were born in Iraq. Parchia, chaviva,Carmela and Tzion were born in Israel.
The family came to Israel in 1950 and moved to a transit camp in Binyamina.
After three months the family was transferred to the settlement of Patish in the Negev.
Two months later, the family left Patish due to security tensions and moved to Jerusalem where they settled down in Musrara neighborhood, on Hanevi'im street.
In 1954 the Shaul family left Musrara, when Jordanian sniper shots from east Jerusalem threatened civilians, and moved to Talpiot neighborhood (with the help of the “low priced housing cooperative program” led by Golda Meir, that allowed them to buy an apartment in a safer location). In 1963 they moved back to the neighborhood, to live at “Hachoma Hashlishit” street, and in 1969 they left again to Beit hakerem.

Hila Shemesh (Cohen) was born in Hamra, Iraq and lived separately from her husband with her two sons. The family arrived in Israel in 1950, to the Shaar Aliya camp. From there they moved to Shivte Israel st, corner of Mea Shearim st. in Musrara, Jerusalem.

Her son Kochavi Shemesh was one of the 'Black Panthers' leaders.
